Directions

§  Fold on the score lines and burnish well.

§  Add the smaller dsp strips to the outside of the card base.

§  Add the additional sheet of dsp to the 3” x 5 1/2” coastal cabana cardstock.

§  Use a large layering circle to cut the center out of the 3” x 5 1/2” panel.

§  Cut a larger basic white circle for the inside sentiment.

§  Cut a layering square in basic white and a larger layering scalloped square in Bermuda bay.

§  Stamp your sentiments and chicks.  Color with Stampin’ Blends.

§  Put 1 dimensional on each corner of the 3” x 5 1/2” panel.

§  To make the mechanism:

o   On the 3 1/2”x 4” pieces of card stock use a ruler to find the center. Mark the center with a pencil.   Draw lines to the corners and the cut out the triangle.

o   Put tear and tape on the small side of the score line. (Make sure you cut out triangles will go toward each other.  This will creat the shutter).

o   Attach the 3” x 5 1/2” panel to the center of the inside card with only the bottom 2 dimensionals. Leave the top covered.

o   Use multipurpose glue to add your circle under the inside panel.

o   Add one of your cut out pieces, tear and tape side up, score line flat, under the 3” x 5 1/2”panel.  Center the cut out triangle in the center of the circle.  The edge of the cut out piece will go right up to the score line of the card base.  Remove the tear and tape and fold the card closed.

o   Add the 2nd piece to the other side of the card and repeat.  Make sure to line up the 2 card stock pieces so they overlap.

o   Remove the top dimensional backings and adhere to card.  I

§  Add the stamped square to the scalloped square.

§  Line the squares up with the flaps and glue down on one side only.

§  Add embellishments of choice.
